Rosie ,Sons & family.   I’m so sorry to hear about your loving husband , your wonderful dad & your great friend Kirk.  I’m sure the mold was broke the second he came into the world .I bet Kirk will be providing a lot of loving entertainment in Heaven now .I know he will be missed greatly, His wonderful memories will live on forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during the loss of Kirk.  He and Rosa spent so much time with our family when we were younger and it makes me so sad that we aren't able to visit due to this Corona Virus.   Take care all of you know and if there is anything you can think of that you need please let me know.  When the virus is over I definitely want to come visit with your mom.  Love, Wanda

Kirk Cline - What words describe him? Pure Southern Hospitality that's what.  You can't beat it! You sure can't find it in Maryland (not like the South that is).  Who do you know will put on a 5 star performance when you visit? My visits always included some (or all) of the following: 
a country jig 
a song
a joke 
a fiddle solo
a yodel 
a story
and candy (yes candy) I told him I liked York Peppermint Patties and he took a ride down to the basement and brought me up a bag of miniature Peppermint Patties.

The farthest back I remember uncle Kirk was Union Ave. However I must admit back then I looked forward to you boys'  (David, Mark and Paul) trip to Maryland (and little Sid) more...it was a blast. 

When I grew up, that is when I saw the fun, kind man Uncle Kirk was.  He made you feel so welcome.  My heart hurts for you and wish that I could do anything to ease your sorrow.  They say time heals all but until that time comes know that there are a lot of people up here that love you.  Though we Marylanders cannot be with you be assured we are there with you in our hearts. All of you are in our prayers, lifting you up for Jesus to comfort and give you peace.

My dear Aunt Rosa Mae, what a wonderful story you have lived.  Being married so long and loving Uncle Kirk as you did.  Again I say Wonderful!  I hope I am blessed to have that kind of story for my life.  To live with a man so long and still be in love 68 years later.  Beautiful.

Hold the memories close and never let them slip away.

There was a time I would spend weekly visits with Kirkley, we would watch jeopardy and wheel of fortune and have a bottle of frosty. As a boy, I marveled at the amount of pepper he would put on his eggs. He said it made them taste better. By golly, he was right. I’ve been doing the same ever since. Here he is along with Rosa, my granddaughter, Hopey. Nephew, Sid.

Condolences to your family. So sorry to hear this. He was a gentle soul. Prayers for the family.

I have always been proud to be the namesake of one of my Dad's best buddies.   Kirk  was always the funniest  guy to talk to,  always kidding around, always with the jokes and the good natured ribbing, and always with the great hats.   I  especially  enjoyed when Kirk would come into the  store, usually just to say hello and ask about our family, but also to tease and cut up.  Such a fun and wonderful guy.  
     And to Rosa and their sons, so sorry for your your loss.  I know you will miss him. We all will.
      

Kirk and Rosie would always visit my Mom. I always enjoyed his humor and fun in life. He and Rosie had so much love for family. I will miss him and his signature hat he always wore. Blessings to the family and especially to Rosie.

I remember Kirk, my brother-in-law as one of the funniest,  most enjoyable people to be around. He loved his spaghetti and his Hershey chocolate bars. Always sitting wrapped in blankets no matter hot it was. He was such a homebody who loved his family and cats.
Kirk deserves a large memorial service and would have one of the largest as he touched everyone he meant. Sadly, due to this pandemic he is being denied that. However,  knowing Kirk he would have been fine with that as he was a humble man.
Rest in peace, you will be missed tremendously.

Uncle Kirk was a very funny man to know. He was always kind to me and my family and he will be missed.

Mr. Cline was quite a character, even as he was shut in in the past couple of years. My daughter Debbie and I delivered meals to he and Mrs. Cline through our local senior center. He always sang "Beautiful, Beautiful Brown Eyes" to us each week (note: we do NOT have brown eyes: mine are blue, hers are hazel!). Mrs. Cline, you have our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your very unique husband.

I can remember as a kid always pestering him to make the cricket sound.  It was amazing.  He also had the greatest faces always made us laugh.

And because Grandma would tell this story if she was here:. She told him she had a talking parakeet and he never believed her, said she was lying.  She trained Pepper to say a dozen or more things but one of her favorites was "Kirk's a liar yes he is!" On cue that bird said it when he was there.  He was shocked and she laughed and said "I told you the bird could talk"
