

Born June 22, 1944 in Staunton, she was a daughter of the late John Allen and Katherine (Simmons) Mills and raised by her late grandparents, Lyle and Virginia Mahone.
Prior to retirement, Linda was employed by Lemons’ Jewelry Inc. where she worked as the manager for a number of years. She was a faithful member of Waynesboro Free Methodist Church. Linda truly loved children and spent more than 20 years babysitting for families in her community. She brought warmth, patience, and a caring heart to every child she looked after, and she meant so much to the families who knew and trusted her. She will be remembered for the kindness and love she shared so freely.
In addition to her grandparents and parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Allen Cash; daughter, Sherry Cash; and sister, Barbara Allen.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula Cash of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Casey Adams and husband, Kevin, Brandy Shifflett and husband, Jason, and Taylor Barkley; great-grandchildren, Hunter Riggleman, Kailey Riggleman, Annistyn Shifflett, and Kemper Shifflett; special niece, Betty Swortzel and husband, Tim, and their children, Tara, Megan and Lindsey; special nephew, Doug Cash; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Waynesboro Free Methodist Church, 600 Hopeman Parkway, Waynesboro with Pastor Scott Brodd officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Cash, Doug Cash, Scottie Cash, Tobey Cash, Wes Cash, Clint Cash, Kyle Cash, and Marty Walter.
