Born June 3, 1934 in Rockbridge County, Va, he was the son of the late William Banks and Mary Ella (Berkley) King.
Prior to retirement, Lloyd was employed with Brightview at Baldwin Park, Staunton, where he worked as a cook for many years. He enjoyed playing softball and spending time with his three dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine King; his second wife, Alice King; granddaughter, Rasheda Alestock; siblings, Shirley King, Thomas King, William Banks King, Jr. and Mary Jane Alestock.
Survivors include his two daughters, Delma King and Sandra Alestock; grandchildren, Naquan, Shamal, Duane and Shone; seven great grandchildren; sister, Betty King; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, there will be no formal viewing or services.
