E. Louise Landes Sheets passed away Tuesday February 17, 2015 at Brightview Baldwin Park.

Mrs. Sheets was born November 18, 1923 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Robert and Addie (Nichols) Landes.

Louise was a member of Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church and was retired from King’s Daughters’ Hospital Admitting Office.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sheets was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph E. Sheets, five brothers; Ward Landes, Myron Landes, Lawrence Landes, Russell Landes and Robert Landes, three sisters, Janet Brubeck, Margaret Bright, Elizabeth Snyder, and a grandson, Chad Swepston.

Survivors include one son, R. E. Sheets, Jr. of Lanexa; two daughters, Gloria Winkler of Virginia Beach, Donna Miller of Waynesboro, one brother, Kenneth Landes and wife Alma of Mount Sidney, sisters-in-law, Bernice Landes, Betty Landes, Ina Sheets and Ann Polachek of Staunton, brother-in-law Carl Sheets and wife Catherine of Churchville; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Following a private family burial, a memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church by Reverend Kenneth Price.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2733 Springhill Road Staunton, VA 24401.
