
Louise Glass Thomas, 89, of South Winchester Avenue, Waynesboro, died on Sunday morning, August 19, 2012, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born on July 24, 1923, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late William Greenbury Glass and Texana Sprouse Glass. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was a former employee of the A & P Grocery Store. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Page Thomas; a son, Ray Smith; and a daughter, Joan Martin. Survivors include her son, Stephen Smith and wife, Debbie, of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Bass and husband, Perry, Rebecca Allen and husband, G.L., Vincent Smith, Shannon Hardison, Michael Martin, Jason Martin; great-grandchildren, Ashlee Nicole Johnson, Ronald Hamilton Johnson Jr., Amanda Allen and Cody Duff; and a great-great grandchild, Bentley Allen. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Isca Mitchell officiating. Active pallbearers will be Perry Bass, Ronald Hamilton Johnson Jr., Freddy Conner, Jason Martin, G. L. Allen and Rudy Coffey. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Presbyterian Church, 133 North Delphine Avenue, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
