She was born on October 25, 1926 in Little Falls, New York, a daughter of the late Harry And Margaret Steele.
Ms. Legg attended Herkimer Reformed Church when living in Herkimer, NY.
Mrs. Legg was a graduate of Little Falls High School. Margaret was united in marriage to Walter l. Legg on April 19, 1952. After retirement Walt and Margaret moved to Bradenton, Florida. After Mr. Legg passed away in 2011 Margaret moved to Waynesboro, Va.
She also is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Legg; two brothers, Mick, and Harry Steele and brother-in-law Jim Legg ; four sisters, Helena Kelly, Shirley Mushen, Dorothy Gartner, Agnes Moody.
Survivors include a son, Brian Legg and Mary Ann of Rome, NY; daughter, Beverly Sweet and husband Colby; special grandson, Derek Sweet of Waynesboro, Va.; nephew, Pete Kelly and wife Jean; niece, Margaret Lindsay and many other nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Judy Hladys
