Mary P. Dudley Cromer

Mary P. Dudley Cromer, 86, of Lyndhurst passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Born March 30, 1931 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nellie (Hewitt) Plummer. Mary was a member of Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, Stuarts Draft. She was a member of the Senior Group at Lyndhurst United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Dudley and George Cromer; son-in-law, Howard F. Wood, I; special grandmother, Ida C. Hewitt; brother, Lambert “Pete” Plummer. Survivors include her two children, Harvey C. Dudley of Stuarts Draft and Linda Mae Wood of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Tammy Farrar, Trease Hatter, Howard Wood, II, Mitchell Wood, Blair Sorrells and Joshua Dudley; 17 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Maxine Raike and Christine and Gary Nelson; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Doug Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Church of the Brethren Church Cemetery, Waynesboro. Active pallbearers will be Darnell Rexrode, Danny Johnson, Aaron Sorrells, Mike Plummer, Gary Nelson and David Sorrells. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the funeral home.
