Mary Austin (Wade) Fisher

Born October 7, 1925 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late James O. and Alice (Mitchell) Wade.

Mrs. Fisher was a member of Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church. Earlier in life, she had been employed at Morton’s Frozen Foods. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially cooking and baking for them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fisher; siblings, Bland Wade, “Buck” Wade, “O.J.” Wade and Mildred Small.

Survivors include her children, Ronald W. Fisher and wife Hilda of Waynesboro, Donald W. Fisher of Waynesboro, Brenda Fitzgerald and husband Ricky of Lyndhurst and Debra Huffman and husband Hunter of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Renea Verdi, Troy Fisher, Tahnee Knicely, Stephanie Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren, Bron and Ryan Moore, Zach Fisher, Tyler and Payton Knicely; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church with Rev. Scott Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Moore, Zach Fisher, Tyler Knicely, Hunter Huffman, Ricky Fitzgerald and Billy Knicely.

There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
