Mary Elsie Moore Pugh

Mary Elsie Moore Pugh, 83 of Waynesboro passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Kings Daughters Community Health & Rehab. Born in Middlebrook, Virginia on January 18, 1932, a daughter of the late William Robert Moore and Cora Lunsford Moore.

Mary was a member of Fishersville Baptist Church. She was very active in her religious studies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Lewis Henderson; three sisters, Louise Patterson, Elizabeth Byrd, and Ruth Painter; two brothers, Robert Moore and Ray Moore. Survivors include her three sisters, Anna Margaret Mayo of Baltimore, Maryland, Rosa “Rosie” Dedrick of Waynesboro, and Susan Denson and her husband, Andy of Camden, South Carolina; a brother, Kenneth L. Moore and his wife, Shirley of Waynesboro; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Augusta Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Bradley officiating. Family will receive friends Monday, June 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
