Mattie B. Alexander

She was formerly of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, who had resided at Mountain View Nursing Home in Aroda, Virginia for the last 15 years.

She was born on March 14, 1938, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Emma Troyer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Katie Harrington, Susan Peachey, Annie Troyer and one brother, Abner Troyer.

Mattie was the last remaining member of her immediate family and will be remembered by her acts of kindness and her love for her family.

She was a member of Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Rd., Waynesboro, Virginia with Pastor Bruce Swartz officiating.

Mattie’s family wishes to extend their heart felt appreciation to Mountain View Nursing Home for their outstanding love and care given to our loved one.

May God richly bless all staff members who have touched Mattie’s life in such a positive way!

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Those wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery on the day of the service.
