Patricia Louise Dofflemyer

She was born at her home in Essex, Maryland on August 16, 1939, a daughter of the late William Matthew and Louise Christina (Weis) Kappel.

She was baptized in the former Fishersville Baptist Church in 1973.

Patricia, along with her late husband were carriers for the Staunton News Leader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Quinlyn Dofflemyer, Sr.; daughters Dawn Carter, Selina Botkin; brother, Leroy “Sonny” Kappel; sisters, Erma Lader, Dorothy Stockum, Lois Kappel, Diane Dennis; two granddaughters, Sarah, Trisha and one great grandchild, Ava.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde Quinlyn Dofflemyer, Jr. and wife Jo, Mark Wayne Dofflemyer and Ange; daughters, Terry Lin Cloonan and husband Steve, Lisa Baugh and husband Kenny: sister, Lorraine Morrissey; grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Courtney, Clint, Matthew, Nathan, Dylan, Samantha, Amanda; 20 great grandchildren and a son-in-law, Phillip Carter.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Fishersville Community Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 with Pastor Chris Smith officiating.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
