Patrick Steven Shields

He was born in Waynesboro on September 20, 1963 to the late Robert William Shields and Betty (McAlister) Shields Johns who survives.

Patrick was a machinist by trade and a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Mark Shields; and step-father, James W. Johns.

Survivors include his mother of Waynesboro; his partner, Dawn Meunier; daughter, Melissa Dawn Shields; siblings, Robert Scott Shields and partner Linda of Hampton, Theresa Hodge and husband David of Millboro, Mary Denise Tabor and husband Tony of Waynesboro, Steven Johns and wife Charlann of Mt. Solon, David Johns and wife Rachel of Staunton and Charles “Chuck” Johns and wife Khanda of Bridgewater.

Following cremation a funeral mass will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019 with Father Rolo Castillo officiating.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
