
Pauline Harman Fitzgerald, 100, of Waynesboro, died peacefully on Saturday morning, October 6, 2012, at Augusta Health, four months after a joyful celebration of her 100th birthday. She was born on May 30, 1912, in Mt. Solon, the daughter of the late William Alexander and Aldie Dameron Harman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; two brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church and a former member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. She was retired from hairdressing. Survivors include her son, Winfred Fitzgerald and wife, Virginia, of Quinton, Virginia; four granddaughters; three grandsons; two great-granddaughters; one step-son, Thomas E. Fitzgerald Jr. of Texas; and one step-daughter, Shirley Wright of Florida.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with the Reverend Judson Baldwin officiating. Burial in Sherando United Methodist Church Cemetery will be held later. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012, at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro.
