

She was born December 22, 1931, a daughter of the late Jean Wilson and Mabel Lee Lawhorn Painter.
She was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church. She retired from General Electric/Genicom Company after 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry G. Painter and a sister, Thelma Doyle.
Survivors include her son, Michael “Buddy” Noe and wife, Carolyn; brother, Jean W. Painter, Jr. and wife, Jo Ann; granddaughters, Cynthia Lynn Curry and husband, Jamie, Jennifer Lee Hensley and husband Chris, Olympia McDonaldson and husband Dave; great grandchildren, Jakob Coffey, Bridgett McDonaldson, Brittany McDonaldson and Harper Grace Hensley. Peggy also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes by Pastor Vivian Utz. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Barry Argenbright, Mickey Weatherholtz, Dale Pleasants, Larry Fox, Ashley Miller and Ellie Fauber. Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Hite, Danny Pleasants and Gary Argenbright.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
