Penny Brooks Dove

Penny Brooks Dove, 45, ,of Fort Defiance, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was born on March 19, 1967, in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Charles Brooks Sr. and Shirley Hise Brooks. Penny loved her family and especially her grandbabies and her dog, Cinnamon. Survivors include her husband Roy Dove Jr.; two daughters, Amber Lam and husband, Brad, of Dooms, Erin Brocato of Waynesboro; two sons, James Painter of Harrisonburg, Dallas Dove of Fort Defiance; stepson, Allen Dove of West Virginia; one brother, Charles Brooks Jr. of Waynesboro; one sister, Sherry Burnett of Waynesboro; and five grandchildren, Katryna, Jacob, Katie, Heidi and Leah. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Matthew Coiner officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Roy, Chris, Mason Dove, Tony Lam, Jeremy Roberts, Gerald Pieper, Paul Gayda and Chad Estes. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro.
