

Shirley Thompson Huntley Shirley Thompson Huntley best known as "Chicken" by her friends, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at her home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Via; her stepfather, Roy Via; and her sister, Clyde "Sammy" McCaslin. She was born on August 18, 1935, and has been a lifelong resident of Waynesboro, Virginia, and employed for years at Stanley Furniture. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Ramon Duane Huntley and her daughter and husband, Teresa and John Dudley of Waynesboro; three stepdaughters, Sherri Revord of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Vicki and Richard Lott of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Terri and Kevin Beane of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Justino Palacios and Grace Flores of Atlanta, Georgia, Jolie Dudley and Jillian Dudley of Waynesboro, Jessica and Captain Aaron Wilkerson of Clarksville, Tennessee, Elizabeth Lott of Johnson City, Tennessee, Kelsey Beane of Jacksonville, Florida, Chief Petty Officer First Class Jacob and Holly Revord of San Diego, California, and Joshua and Jeremiah Revord of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and three great-grandchildren, Raegan Revord and Kaitlyn and Mark Wilkerson. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro and other times at the residence. A service will be conducted at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro with the Reverend Neil Hough officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012, at Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Justino and John Dudley, Jeremiah and Joshua Revord, Jim Meehan, and Richard Lott.
