Susan was born on July 23, 1953, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Sue (Bowen) Frazier.
She was a hairstylist for 20 years and then a real estate agent for an additional twenty years. However, the most important fact about Susan is that she is a child of God. She was the Senior Elder, Head Intercessor, and Teacher in her family church, Breakthrough Life Center. Susan was passionate about equipping and training up the saints of God. She spent a majority of her time ministering to God’s children and the fact that she was a spiritual mother to so many brought her such great joy. Susan loved that she had the opportunity to travel to the Ukraine to minister in women’s prisons and orphanages. Her love language was quality time, and it was extremely important to her that she spent quality time with her family and friends whom she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Wayne Gibson and her sister, Dorothy Jane Taylor.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Larry W. Gibson, her daughters, Michelle G. Powers and her husband Rob, Amber G. Creedle and her husband William Hunter (Bubba), and five grandchildren, Logan Aaron Balsley, Reagan Jade Powers, English C. Langley, Tristin Nathaniel Creedle, Aspen Blaze Creedle and great grandson King Micah Langley.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro with Pastors Bubba Creedle and Kevin Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Harper, Shawn Jenkins, Jason Hewitt, Timmy Shover, Mark Ramsey, and her nephew, Matthew Gibson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, at the funeral home.
