Thomas "Tommy" Franklin Madison, Jr.

Thomas Franklin “Tommy” Madison, Jr., 56, of Waynesboro passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on May 5, 1963 a son of Thomas Franklin, Sr. and Doris Dean (Desper) Madison. Tommy worked as a machine operator with NIBCO. He greatly enjoyed playing computer games, watching movies, and spending time with his family and dogs. Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Madison; brother, Ronnie Madison and dog, Snowball. In addition to his father, Tommy is survived by his wife of 17 years, Teresa Lane Madison; two sons, Cody Jarret and Levi Scott Madison; step-children, Travis Stone, Amanda Stone and her significant other, Ray Murray and Ashley Dillon and her husband, Chris; brother, James "Jimmy" Madison; grandsons, Zayden Madison and Mason Lucas Dillon; special uncle, Dennis Desper; special friend, Melvin Mitchell; and niece, Jenny; as well as extended family and friends. Tommy also leaves behind his dogs, Chloe and Miracle. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Augusta Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service for a reception to celebrate Tommy’s life at the Waynesboro Moose Lodge. There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Augusta Health Foundation, Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff with Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah, especially Tommy’s nurse, Allison and CNA, Tonya for their loving care of Tommy and his family.
