She was born April 2, 1929 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Lillian Clark Steinmiller Anderson . She was a step-daughter of the late Jesse L. Anderson.
She was a lifelong resident of Waynesburg, where she made her home for 30 years with the late Clarence “Clem” Powell.
Waneita worked for Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg for over 30 years, until the plant closed in 1986. She had also worked as a waitress at the Union Grill, and the Eagles Club in Waynesburg, where she was a former member.
She enjoyed feeding wild birds, baking, and fishing on Lake Erie.
Surviving is a sister, Bernice Shuman of Waynesburg; and four generations of nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Gerald Anderson and Conrad Anderson; and two sisters, Helen Straight and Sandra Black.
