She was born Friday, January 1, 1937 in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late George J. Covalt and Dorothy Browning Covalt.
Dorothy trained and showed dogs in agility. She taught at West Virginia University for more than 30 years as a biology professor working with bats and moths. She is survived by 1 Sister: Elizabeth Arnold of Randolph, Vermont and 1 Niece: Carolyn S. Covalt of Durham, NC. Deceased is one Sister: Sara Covalt.
At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or services.
