Dorothy A. Byers Welsh, 82, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania passed away at 3:40 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. She was born December 17, 1941 in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Charles Byers and Julia Shanto Byers. Dorothy was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High school Class of 1959. She really enjoyed spending time with her family. She retired from Rolling Meadows in 2014 after having served in the dietary department, and later worked for Family Ties Home Care as long as she was able to. Dorothy was a great caregiver. Her husband: Earl L. Welsh, Sr. whom she married in 1960, passed in 2010. Surviving are 3 Daughters: Cathleen (John) Perry of Prosperity, PA, Karen (Jeff) Hoyle of Waynesburg, PA, Susan Connell of Waynesburg, PA, 1 Son: Earl Welsh, Jr. of Waynesburg, PA, 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Deceased: 1 Daughter- Tammy Fields and 2 Brothers- Robert Byers and Charles "Benny" Byers. Friends will received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N.
