Edward "Eddy" Oakey Smith

He was born Saturday, April 28, 1945 in Morgantown, WV. a son of the late James Lee Smith and Betty Jean DeWitt Smith.

Mr. Smith was a veteran having served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, farming, cleaning and organizing. He was a member of the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 in Mt. Morris and the Mt. Morris Sportsman Club. He was retired from the Consol Coal Mine having worked at the Bower Portal.

His Wife: Betty Lu Craig Smith, whom he married on March 28, 1990. died April 20, 2016.

Surviving is his Girlfriend: Lavenia Goodwin, 2 Daughters: Angel Rollyson, of Westerville, OH., and Susan Hollabaugh, of Mt. Morris, PA. 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters: Linda Flowers, of Morgantown, WV., and Patty Anderson, of TN., 2 Brothers:

William James Smith, of Morgantown, WV., and Daniel Smith, of OH and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are 1 Daughter: Kim Dawson, 1 Grandson: J. D. Dawson, 1 Son-In-Law: Doug Rollyson, 1 Sister: Sharon Tennant

Friends will be received from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM The time of the service on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478 Mount Morris, PA 15349 with Rev. William Parker officiating. Private burial will be in WV. National Cemetery, Grafton, WV. Military honors will be accorded by the James T.
