Rex A. Carson

Rex A. Carson, 68, of Morgantown, West Virginia, formerly of Waynesburg, PA passed away at 6:14 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Rex was born September 19, 1956 in Washington, PA a son of the late Roy Wayne Carson and Ruth Elizabeth Kennedy Carson. Rex enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Previously Rex had worked as a coal miner with the Nemacolin Mine, then later he worked in the Department of Corrections at SCI Greene retiring in 2019 after serving there for over 26 years. The mother of his children: Mary Susan Lemley Carson survives. Also surviving are his Wife: Diana Phares Adamson of Morgantown, WV, 3 Sons: Kenneth Matthew and wife Danielle Carson, Greg and wife Melissa Carson of Canonsburg, PA, Scott Carson of Baltimore, MD, 1 Stepdaughter: Ashley Stevens and husband Jeffrey of Bartlett, TN, 4 Grandchildren: Shaun Carson, Lucy Carson, Noah Carson, Gavin Stevens, 4 Sisters: Louise Pierce, Carol VanZandt, Mary Hawk, Linda Carson, 2 Brothers: Richard Carson, Greg "Herb" Carson and several nieces and nephews. Deceased: 1 Sister- Emily Carson and 1 Brother- Roy Wayne "Dick" Carson ,Jr. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director with the funeral service being held at 1:00 PM with Rev. William Parker officiating.
