Robert H. Doody

Robert H. Doody age 87 of Waynesburg died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation following a lengthy illness. He was born December 2, 1929 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Joseph and Mayme Shock Doody.

He was a graduate of West Virginia University. He served in the U.S. Air Force for two years.

On August 19, 1952 he married Dolores Masuga Doody who survives.

Mr. Doody owned and managed Doody Jewelers and the Good News Shop in Waynesburg for many years.

He was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Greene County Country Club.

He was Catholic by faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Kathleen Doody of Stow, OH and Bonnie Doody Dell of Carmichaels; two sons, Joseph Doody (Carlina) of Mt. Airy, MD, and Robert Doody (Lurea) of Garards Fort; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, William Doody M.D. of the state of California; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are 2 brothers, Richard and Joe Doody; father-in-law John Masuga; and mother-in-law Elizabeth Masuga.

Friends will be received from 3 to 4 pm, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. with Rev. David S.
