Ronald Ray Loar

He was born August 7, 1941 in Greene County, a son of the late Ralph and Violet Cosgray Loar.

Ron worked as a corrections officer at the former SCI Waynesburg facility and he had served in the United States Navy.

On May 20, 1992 he married Barbara, who survives.

Also surviving are five children, Richard (Pam) Loar of Fairview, WV, Renee (Orville) Loar Bell of Fairview, WV, Doug Loar of Florida, Colleen (Gabriel) Collett of Kentucky, Sean Loar of Pittsburgh; three step-children, Samantha Jo Quigley of Pennsylvania, Jame Lee Mackey of Morgantown, WV, James Lee (Rachel) Mackey II of Jacksonville, FL; a foster daughter, Jillianne Lee Mackey of Morgantown, WV; ten grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

Deceased is a daughter, Ronda Loar; a step-son, Charles Mills; a great granddaughter at birth, Nevaeh Loar; two brothers, Robert Loar and William Cosgray.
