He was a lifelong resident of Greene County and was a member of Moose Lodge #461. He attended Waynesburg Central High School and Waynesburg College and wrestled at both institutions. He also attended Penn State University majoring in Mining Technology.
Over the years he was employed by Ingersoll Rand, Joy Manufacturing and Komatsu where he enjoyed working with many close colleagues over 25 years.
He loved spending time with his family and had many hobbies including watching NASCAR and F1, motorcycle riding, playing golf and traveling with his family on vacations. His trips to Alaska and Hawaii were his favorites. He was also a volunteer wrestling coach for the Waynesburg Little League Wrestling Program.
The strangers he met in life were quickly converted to friends as he had a caring, engaging personality resulting in lots of laughter and lifelong relationships. His spirit will live on reminding us to tell the people close to us that we love them. Our lives will be forever changed without him, but we are so happy he brightened our days while he was here even though it wasn’t long enough.
He is survived by siblings Dan (Cindy), Jan (Larry) Dulaney, Van (Deby) and Shannon (Jeff) Knapp and nephews Robbie, Roy, Jason, Alex, Wyatt and Keegan and nieces Lisa, Dina, Whitney, Lindsey and Jillian. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Jane and sister-in-law Kathy.
In honoring his wishes as a man that never wanted to be the center of attention anytime, anywhere, there will be no services. A photo tribute is posted on the Milliken & Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. website at www.milliken-throckmortonfh.com
