Waynesville-Alberta K. Reed, 75, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015, at The Homestead. Alberta was born in Haywood County on April 4, 1939, to the late Albert and Bonnie Grant Klein. She was a hairdresser for 40 years and manager of Hair Plus in the Asheville Mall for 20 years. Alberta loved her dog and cats and also spending time in her garden. In addition to her parents Alberta was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruby Grant and her aunt, Catherine Franklin. Alberta is survived by her cousins, Donna Franklin, Melissa Phillips, Reba Singleton, Doug Cook and others. There will be a graveside service at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, at Dellwood Cemetery with the Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating.
