Clyde-Charles Roosevelt Massey, 91 died on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at his residence. Charles was born in Madison County on January 25, 1930, to the late Lyda and Media Caldwell Massey. He was a mechanic and truck driver. Charles enjoyed digging ginseng, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jensen Massey; brothers, Ervin and Joe Massey; and sisters, Hattie Massey and Elva Massey Coward.
Charles is survived by his son, Jason Massey; grandchildren, Katelyn Massey, Jayden Massey, Madyson Massey, Sierra Sutton and Sydney Scarpulla.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 22, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend John Swanger III and the Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
