Cordell Lewis Bradley

Maggie Valley-Cordell Lewis Bradley, 99, died on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehab. Cordell was born in Maggie Valley, on July 3, 1917, to the late Arthur and Mettie Setzer Bradley. Cordell retired from the State of North Carolina as a surveyor and served honorably in the Army during World War II. He was a member of East Waynesville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Cordell was preceded in death by his wives, Lois Russell Bradley and Alda Smith Bradley; two brothers, Jack and Clyde; and one sister, Jimmie Leatherwood. Cordell is survived by one brother, Bobby of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Bob Varner and the Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
