George Pearson Corn, age 83, passed into Heaven on January 25, 2023 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gay Sebron Corn and Bertha Williams Corn; brother, Adam Junior Corn; and sister, Iva Lee Rich.
He worked 40 years at the Waynesville Champion plant and served as an Elder at Waynesville Christian Fellowship where he kept the grounds groomed. He was a very good wood carver, loved the outdoors, beagle dogs, fishing and hunting. George was a devoted family man who loved his family dearly.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Jo Ann Kates Corn; sons, Charles Dean Corn (Melissa); Randall Lee Corn (Angie) and George Michael Corn; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Waynesville Christian Fellowship Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 pm prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
