Henry H Green

Henry H. Green, 84, of Canton, died on July 13, 2015, at his residence. Henry was born in Haywood County on July 4, 1931, to the late Furman and Pearl Brown Green. Henry loved his daughter, Billie and his step-children. He enjoyed auto-body repair, cabinetry, and anything John Deere. Henry was faithful, supportive, and was always helping others. He retired from the military after nearly 30 years of honorable service having served in Korea and Vietnam. Henry was loving and kind to all. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by the mother of his daughter, Carmen Joy Green; a son, Hank Green; three brothers, Jack, Grover and Bud Green; and a sister, Elsie Seeney. Henry is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Joyce Green; a daughter, Billie Green; five step-children; a sister, Janie Fuse; a sister-in-law, Barbara Green; a grandson, David Green; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephews Jack (Terri) and Keith Green along with many other nieces and nephews; one great-niece; and two great-nephews. Funeral services will held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 18, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations with Harold Stines officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, July 17, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
