Pasadena, TX-Hubert Gibson, age 92, formerly of Waynesville, NC, passed away in the peacefulness of his bedroom on 11-19-14 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Randy King, where he has been living since April, 2007, in Pasadena, Texas. He was the son of the late George and Lillie Gibson. He was preceded in death by his wife and son, Margaret and Doug Gibson. He is survived by two brothers, Ray (Gladys) Gibson of Waynesville, NC and Hoot (Jean) Gibson, of Johnson City, Tn. He is also survived by two grandsons, Billy and Matthew Gibson of Waynesville, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Levi, and Savannah Gibson. He will be best remembered by his jokes and his Hershey’s Kisses. It was his wish to return to his beloved mountains upon his death. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 7, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
