Inez Mildred Finger Green 1927 – 2016 Maggie Valley, NC – Inez Mildred Finger Green, age 88, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Swain County on October 8, 1927 to the late Rufus and Della Nelson Finger. For many years she resided in Lincoln Park, MI with her husband, who was pastor of Bethany Baptist Church. Locally she attended Victory Baptist Church. She had an unyielding faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Marvin C. Green, Jr.; sister, Agnes Greene and her husband Jim; nephew, Steven Greene; brother in laws, Harold Greene, Don Greene, Kenneth Greene and Edward Joe Sutton. Left to Cherish her memory is her sister, Myrna Jean Sutton; nieces, Connie Sutton, Susan Smith and husband Jimmy, and Elaine Welch and husband Jerry; and nephew, Edwin Greene. Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 2 PM to 3 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Green Hill Cemetery.
