Waynesville-Kenneth Dee Broome, age 74 passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Ken was born in Jackson County, NC on November 11, 1947, to the late J.D. and Dessie Mathis Broome. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and working outside. Ken also loved to sing and play his guitar at his church.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Ida Cagle Broome; daughters, Karen Graves and Julie Shuford (Tom); granddaughters, Madison Graves and Savannah Shuford; stepdaughter, Connie Green (Mark); stepson, Ronnie Carter (Gail); and step-granddaughters, Courtney Burgess (Jonathan) and Stephanie Henson.
