Lucy Elizabeth Gibson

Waynesville, NC - Lucy Elizabeth George Gibson, matriarch of her family, has gone home to her Lord and Savior. She was born on February 28, 1937 and passed away July 18, 2019.

Lucy's strength, love for her family and her steadfast faith were the cornerstones of her life.

Lucy lived her life for her children and grandchildren. She worked hard throughout her life to make sure they had everything they needed, were happy and were well taken care of.

Lucy was preceded in death by parents, Buell and Pearl George; siblings, Ernestine, Mary, Juanita, James, and Charles.

Surviving are two children, Patricia "Bonnie" Lance and Billy (Jan) George; grandchildren, Jason Rabb and Lynn Starling, Travis George, Kimberly Marion, Whitney Russell, Haleigh Russell, and Kelsey Russell; great grandchildren, Chris Rabb, Makayla Rabb, Blake Starling, Bryson Starling, Blair Starling, Autumn George, Ethan George, Grayson Marion, Braylon Boone, and Kymberly Beemer; two great-great grandchildren, Micheal Starling and Carson Rabb; siblings, Tom George, Hazel Browning, and Freida Watson.

Private family gathering will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.
