Whittier-Marie Trathen, 93, died on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Harris Regional Hospital. Marie was born in Barrington, NJ, on October 31, 1921, to the late Jacob and Anna Jones Nothnagle. Marie later moved to Miami and then to New Port Richey. Later in life she relocated to Whittier, NC. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose Marie Gaskins. Marie is survived by her son-in-law, Donald E. Gaskins; granddaughter, Ann Marie Gispert (Carlos); great-grandchildren, Malissa M. Gispert and Andrew M. Gispert; niece, Ruth Ann Owens; great-nephew, William F. Owens, Jr.; and her step-children, Ted Trathen (Linda), Diane Wicks (John), and Carol McClintock (Michael). A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 10, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
