Wayne enjoyed woodworking and painting. He was honored to be able to care for his mother the last five years of her life. This inspired him to obtain his CNA certification and pursue a career at Silverbluff Nursing Home.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister, JoAnn Evans.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Vickie Caylor; two sons, Justin James and Steven James and wife, Kirby; three grandchildren, Keegan, Colton, and Sawyer; brothers, Hayden Caylor and wife, Glenda, Willard Caylor and wife, Alice, and Paul Caylor; sister, Louise Caylor; brother in law, Don Evans; several nieces and nephews; and his two Yorkies, Bo and Luke.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Sunday, May 12 2019 at Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the care given to them from the Asheville Specialty Hospital Staff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ratcliffe Cove Baptist Church or the Haywood County Animal Shelter.
