Waynesville-William “Bill” Clarence Harrell, 70, died on September 7, 2016, at The Homestead. Bill was born in Haywood County, North Carolina to the late Clarence and Sarah Moody Harrell. Bill was an instructor at Haywood Community College for thirty years where he taught Math, Surveying, and Drafting. Prior to this he taught Math at Swain County High School. Bill was also a founding member of the Cherokee Rodders Club. Bill is survived by his two sisters, Betty Hampton, of Brasstown, North Carolina and Cassie Harrell and her husband, Danny Alligood, of Jamesville, North Carolina; his niece, Wendy Hampton Britt; and his nephews, Byron Hampton and Brent Sutton. The family will have a private service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Haywood Community College at 185 Freedlander Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
