Arthur Rudolph Dodge

DODGE, Arthur “Bud” R., 79 of Webster Groves, Missouri, on September 16, 2012. Loving son of the late Lonnie and Hazel (nee: Lindhorst) Dodge; former husband of Fay Dodge; loving father of Sandra L. (David)Washington, Patricia R. (Russell) Roberts and Tamara F. (Bill) Kohler; beloved grandfather of Geoffrey and Amanda Washington; Andrew, Jake, and Cortney Roberts; Matthew and Hannah Kohler; dear brother to Jean Ritchey and Shirley Kovacs; preceded in death by brothers Alvin, Locke, and Edwin Dodge; special friend to Betty Wheelahan; dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

From 1952-1956 Art served in the Navy as a Seabee stationed in Guam and the Philippines. Art was a retired carpenter and former owner of Dodge General Contracting. He was an avid outdoorsman spending his retirement at Clearwater Lake. He loved his children very much and adored his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family at the Black River and later at Clearwater Lake, camping, fishing, hiking and hunting for arrowheads.

SERVICES: Private family services were held with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. In memory contributions are suggested to the St. Louis Fisher House, #1 Jefferson Barracks Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125 (assisting veterans families while the veteran is being treated at the Veterans Hospitals) or to Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation, P.O. Box 366, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0366.
