Mangelsdorf, Bernard Henry, 89, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Dorothy Francis (nee Trembley); loving father ofJane (Jim) Cloutier, Barney (Kim Mangelsdorf, Mark (Chris) Mangelsdorf, and the late Ann Stein; dear father-in-law of Kirk Stein; dear brother of the late Edward Mangelsdorf; dear grandfather of Matt, Sarah, Ben, & Eleanor; Nathaniel Stein; Henry, Linnea, Camden; & Laura; dear uncle of Kay Haubenreiser;dear cousin, uncle & friend to many.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Mangelsdorf graduated from St. Louis University High School. After serving in the Army in World War II, he graduated from Iowa State with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. He then went to work in the family"s wholesale seed company in St. Louis, eventually guiding the company as President.
