i knew Jim through his beautiful partner Jeannine, and he was always kind, soft spoken, respectful, great bridge player, opera goer, and a wonderful person to be with.  I know that he will be so missed.

I was so sad to hear about Whitey. I loved being his partner many years ago. I am so sorry I was not able to attend the service. He will be missed. Gail Hawkins

Vicki, Grace and I remember your family so well. Whitey and I had great times on the Emerson ball field in the 60's. You, of course were one of Grace's prized students at Robinwood. Her poor health prevents our coming today. God bless all        Carl and Grace Lehne

Jim was such a pleasure to have in the games.  He was the Monday Director when I first started playing at BH and part of the reason I kept playing there.  He will be missed by us all.

My dad always told me to "learn lots." The best advice anyone has ever given me.

What a fine man and bridge player!  Bridge Haven was a special place thanks to Jim.  He may be gone, but never forgotten. He will be missed by many.

Jim was respected in the St. Louis bridge community as a highly ranked player and longtime club game director.  As an opponent, a partner, or a director he was always a congenial and respectful gentleman.  He will be missed.
