

He loved fishing and gardening. He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Welsh lodge. Bryan was proud of his military service in the United States Air Force. He retired from Himont and received many accolades from them.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Ewing Harper; sons, Bryan Harper and wife Debra of Pineville, LA., Morgan James Harper of Welsh, LA.; daughter, Vicki Marcantel and husband Travis of DeQuincy; along with five grandchildren, Jesse Harper and wife Elizabeth of Flint, TX., William M. Dunham and wife Megan of Deridder, LA., Kylea Dunham of Lake Charles, Mandi Gremillion and husband John of Moss Bluff, David Marcantel and wife Anna of Lake Charles; and four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Geneva Harper; sisters, Jessie Harper, Bertha Harper; brother Wade Harper; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Welsh First Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm and will resume on Saturday, from 9:00am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh.
