Calvin was a native of Church Point and a resident of Beaumont, TX. after relocating from Moss Bluff, LA. two years ago. Having served in the United States Army, he was a veteran of the WWII and spent deployment in Germany, France, and the Pacific. Calvin worked for the Department of Agriculture for the state of Louisiana 28 years and retired in 1989. In 1977 he was awarded Entomology Employee of the year. Calvin had a passion for farming and gardening and he absolutely loved sports, especially LSU and the New Orleans Saints. Calvin was a huge jokester who had a heart of gold. Many people knew Calvin as the type of person that never met a stranger and always placed other people first. Calvin always seemed to give the best advice to anyone that needed it. He will be missed as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Valeria B. Rayzor and husband Dicky of Beaumont, TX; son, Raymond Michael Boudreaux, Sr. and wife Hilda of Moss Bluff; two brothers, Lawrence Boudreaux of Welsh and Ferdie Boudreaux of Lake Arthur; three sisters, Hazel Brandon of Leesville, Norma Ball and husband David of Wisconsin, and Jane Robinson and Husband Chester of Sugartown; seven grandchildren Kimberlee Nichols and husband Will of Beaumont, TX., Calvin Joseph Boudreaux, II and wife Adrian of Pine Island, Raymond Michael Boudreaux, Jr. of Roanoke, Jeremy Boudreaux and wife Jiana of Ripon CA., Aaron Chas Boudreaux and wife Brittany of Church Point, Zechariah Boudreaux of Youngsville, and Gabriel Fontenot and husband Orrin of Baton Rouge; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alphan Boudreaux and Rita Bergeron Boudreaux; his wife of 71 years, Kathleen Boudreaux, brother, Alvin Boudreaux; and two sisters, Vivian St. Cyr and Louise Vidrine.
Visitation services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Sunday, November 8, 2020 beginning at 11:00am until the time of services. A celebration of life led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux will be held Sunday at 1:00pm in the funeral home. A Military Honor presentation and Interment will be immediately following at the Pine Island Cemetery.
