He was a beautiful, strong willed little boy who loved to fish, hunt, skateboard, snowboard, play his guitar and was known as a class clown. He was a 2013 graduate of Welsh High School and went on to attend McNeese State University and Sowela Technical Community College. He loved his job as a pipefitter.
Chantler was blessed with good looks, the gift of music and a selfless heart. He attended Fresh Start Ministries where he was a praise and worship leader.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Jean and Chester Fruge and one uncle; Todd Broussard.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, his brother; Chris Fruge, his sister; Cady Fruge, his nephew; Elijah Fruge, Maternal grandparents Larry and Suzanne Stringer, and James and Cheri Cline. His aunts and uncles, Rachel and Stewart Robertson, Ruth and Chester Fruge, Paul and Angie Cline, Nancy Cline, Geraldine Broussard, Michael Fruge, Gwen Fruge and Ched Fruge
Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday,May 3, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Visitation will resume Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 8am until time of service. Funeral service will be on Saturday May 4, 2019 at 10am.
