 In memory of Uncle Norris:   As Catholic Christians we are journeying through these 40 days of Lent, it is befitting that The Lord, your God, your Creator would choose this time to call you back to Himself.  Jesus says to those who want to be His followers: you must deny yourself, take up the cross, and follow Me."  You bravely denied yourself,  you did not want to be a burden to others, instead you accepted the cross of suffering that was given to you. You surrendered, and willingly embraced the cross, as Jesus did.  He also knew what was to come, what the Father had willed for His life  You did not question " Why me?" instead you said "I am a Christian, I have faith in God, I have lived a good life, I am thankful to God."  "You also said that people don't always do what we want them to do, so we just have to pray for them."  I thank God for that moment when we had that conversation.  This is my prayer for you:
Go forth, Christian soul, from this world in the name of God, the almighty Father, who created you.  In the name of Jesus, the son of the living God, who suffered for you, in the name of the Holy Spirit, who was poured out upon you, go forth faithful Christian.  May you live in peace this day, with Mary, the virgin Mother of God, with Joseph, and all the angels and saints.  May you return to {your Creator}, who formed you from the dust of the earth.  May holy Mary, the angels and all the saints come to meet you as you go forth from this life.... May you see your Redeemer face to face...

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

A cousin who remains in my heart with sweet memories ; no matter what the circumstances were, the light of Christ ALWAYS shined through you.  you were what life was about.  if anyone didn't know why they were created as a child of God, your presence resonated the answer.  i will miss your big bear hugs that said "everything is okay"

Norris attended Cursillo Ulterya in Lake Charles with his son Norbert he made Cursilo many years ago. I talked with Fred Victorian last night and he said he visited Noriss a few weeks ago.   We prayed for Norris last hight 2-28-13 at our Ultreya.   We are proud of him and he was a good Christian.  We at The Cursillo movement are praying for him    Don Simon and the cursillo men in Lake Charles.
