Rooter was born in Welsh, Louisiana, and was a proud graduate of Welsh High School, Class of 1988. From a young age, he was known for his kind spirit and easygoing nature—he truly never met a stranger.
He met the love of his life, Connie Myers Trahan, in junior high school, and their love story spanned 43 beautiful years, and 32 years as husband & wife. Together, they built a life centered on family, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Rooter was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting deer and fishing. Some of his happiest moments were spent at Toledo Bend with his family, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He cherished time with those he loved—whether it was visiting with his parents, taking rides with his beloved dog, Lil Pac, or sharing meaningful conversations late into the night.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He took great pride in spoiling his daughter, Courtney, having heartfelt talks with his oldest son, Dylan, and hunting and fishing with his youngest son, Zack. His grandchildren, Max and Stella, brought him immeasurable joy. Above all, Rooter treasured every moment spent with his wife, Connie—his best friend and lifelong partner.
