Ruth Marie Ewing, age 88, of Welsh, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Ruth was born February 9, 1934 to Emar Mallett and Juanita Domingue Mallett.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gloria Gale Hebert and husband Roy of Kaplan, Carolyn Fusilier of Lebleu Settlement, Edward "Ed" Fusilier and wife Joyce of Lake Charles, Sherral Guidry of Welsh, Kevin Ewing of Welsh, and Gene Deshotel and wife Tina of DeQuincy; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a very dear cousin, Mable Ogea.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim Ewing and son, Timothy Ray Ewing.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be immediately following at Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Heart of Hospice and Peggy Lejeune for their compassionate care.
