Dora T. Rodriguez

I have fought the good fight. I finished the race. I have kept the faith.

Teodora T. Rodríguez 81, of Laredo, Texas entered our Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom on Monday, January 10, 2022. Most people knew her as Dora or Bebe. She will be remembered as a virtuous woman. She was trustworthy, wise, hard worker, eager to help those in need, she was a positive influence, was faithful to God and was a loving mother. Her family was her greatest treasure.

Dora and her husband, Ruben were married for 62 years and together built a life they loved. They were very involved in the Cursillo movement, where they spent countless hours serving as volunteers for the Cursillo retreats. They were also involved in helping expand Holy Family, a mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, which is now known as Holy Family Catholic Church.

She remained faithful to her Catholic faith till the end.

She was preceded in passing by her beloved parents, Manuel and Hilaria Trevino, brothers, Manuel “Meme” Trevino and Jesus Trevino, sister, Concepcion Torres.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Ruben R Rodriguez, her five children, Dora (Leopoldo) Garza III, Diana (Antonio) Barrios Jr., Mirtha (Glenn) Farley, Ruben (Edith) Rodriguez and Marissa (Federico) Munguia Jr., sisters, Esther T. Salinas and Frances (Norman)

Kober, brother, Juan Manuel Trevino, 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She will be missed by all those who knew her. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom will live on as her legacy of love.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mr. & Mrs. Roberto De Alba for always being there in their time of need.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel, 1410 Jacaman Rd. Rosary will commence at 6:30 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 17, 2022 at 8:40 from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel to Holy Family Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be: Louie Barrios, Dennis Barrios, Federico Munguia IV, Kevin Farley, Ryan Alex Rodriguez and Ruben Allen Rodriguez. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Andrew Munguia and José Leyva.

Interment will follow at the Calvery Catholic Cemetery.

Funeral services will be directed by her son, Ruben G. Rodriguez and grandson, Ryan A. Rodriguez
