Age 73, Edcouch, Texas
Passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at his home.
George Luis Larios was a man of many talents and quiet strength—a peace officer, painting contractor, car salesperson, and back in the ‘80s, a lively entertainment promoter who brought joy and energy to the community. Politics was a big part of his life, and he was deeply involved with local politicians, always engaged in the causes that mattered to him.
Though George preferred his own company and cherished solitude, he was deeply connected to his family in his own way. Known affectionately as a bit of the family’s “Bragger,” George valued his independence but was always there when it mattered most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roberto Larios Sr. and Socorro Larios, Vicente Larios , and his sisters Veronica and infant Adriana Larios.
George leaves behind his brothers and sisters: Robert Larios Jr. (Irma), Lupe Collins (Allen Sr.†), , Ernesto Larios, and Evangelina Little (Sidney) and his step-children: Robert, Natalie, Frankie and Raul. While he often kept to himself, the bond he shared with his family was real and lasting.
His 14 nieces and nephews—including Robert Larios, Patrick Collins, Michelle Collins, Allen Collins Jr., Selena Collins, Michael Larios, Christopher Larios, Kassy Larios, Ernesto Larios Jr., Aleida Azoca, Adriana De Leon, Robert Andrew Larios, Ayzha Little-Barraza, and Ian Little—will remember him fondly, holding tight to the moments of connection they shared.
George’s life reminds us that closeness isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes, it’s the quiet presence and steady support that mean the most. He lived life on his terms, with passion, independence, and a heart full of subtle but unwavering love.
Rest easy, George. Your path was your own, and it was one well walked.
