Irma is preceded in death by her loving parents, Porfirio Gonzalez and Virginia Barrientes Gonzalez.
Irma is survived by her husband Juan Rodriguez Jr., sister Mary Elizabeth Gonzalez, brother Rolando Gonzalez (Diane), brother Ricardo Gonzalez (Stella), brother Reymundo Gonzalez, sister Cynthia Gonzalez, and her daughter Casandra Villalpando. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, Robyn, Alex, Hailey, Aubree, and Everlie. Irma adored all of her nieces and nephews, Miguel, Stephen, Veronica, Christopher, Daniel, Anthony, Kimberly, Miranda, Gabriel, Kayleb, Sienna, and Eleanor.
Irma was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was always willing to help and family gatherings were always key to making sure her family was always close, something she learned from her mother. She was very loved by her family and extended family and will be missed by all. She was extremely proud of Cookies & More, a small family business that her and her sister opened up in Weslaco, Tx. This brought so many new friends and acquaintances to her life and some remained close until her last day.

A rosary will occur on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home , 6705 N FM 88, Weslaco , Texas 78596. A mass will take place on March 13, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church , 109 S Illinois Ave, Weslaco , Texas 78596.
